The ELSA Webinars Academy on Competition and Cartel Law organised by ELSA Germany in Cooperation with ELSA Düsseldorf will take place on 16th and 17th of July 2021.
On the first day, the EWA will focus on the sanctions in cartel law: on the one hand on fines of the Federal Cartel Office (public law) on the other hand on damage compensation for companies harmed by antitrust (privat law).
On the second day we will evaluate the state of competition in the current economy.
We will have lots of interesting speakers, workshops and discussions!

    Purpose and legal basis of data processing

    The purpose of processing personal data in the context of the ELSA Webinars Academy on Cartel and Competition Law of Deutsche Sektion der Europäischen Jurastudentenvereinigung e.V. (hereinafter referred to as "ELSA Germany") and Fakultätsgruppe Düsseldorf der Europäischen Jurastudierendenvereinigung e.V. (hereinafter referred to as "ELSA Düsseldorf"), is to enable participation in the event. For this purpose, links to the relevant online platforms and other information on the course and content of the event will be sent to the participants by e-mail. In addition, Goodie Bags may be sent to participants by post. The event will be conducted via platforms of external service providers such as Zoom, among others. However, no personal data will be passed on to these service providers, only the access link will be sent to the participants. It is therefore at the discretion and responsibility of the participants which personal data they pass on to these service providers.

    In addition, image and sound recordings may be made which are used by ELSA Germany and ELSA Düsseldorf for marketing and presentation purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, posts on Facebook, Instagram, official websites, brochures and other materials relevant to ELSA Germany and ELSA Düsseldorf. The purpose of collecting the personal data is the reporting and long-term documentation of official events of ELSA Germany and ELSA Düsseldorf.

    The basis for the data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.
    ELSA Germany and ELSA Düsseldorf have signed a contract for joint data processing.

    Zoom is a service of ZOOM Video Communications, Inc, 55 Almaden Boulevard, 6th Floor, San Jose, CA 95113. In the course of data processing, Zoom may store data on servers in third countries. Zoom processes the data as a commissioned data processor of ELSA-Düsseldorf e.V. The privacy policy of Zoom can be viewed here: https://zoom.us/privacy & https://zoom.us/gdpr

    Storage period and rights of the data subject

    The collected data is stored until the purpose no longer exists. This is particularly the case when the event has ended. In the case of image and sound recordings, the data will be stored until the point in time at which the purpose of documenting official events of ELSA Germany and ELSA Düsseldorf by means of image and sound recordings no longer applies.
    Data for which there is a retention obligation or which ELSA Germany and ELSA Düsseldorf use to comply with the legal obligation to provide evidence of this data protection consent can be stored for as long as this obligation exists. This applies in particular to data which must be kept for 12 years in accounting, such as bank information.

    According to Art. 15 to 22 GDPR you have the right to information as well as to correction or deletion or to restriction of the processing of your data, among other things, provided that ELSA-Deutschland e.V. or ELSA-Düsseldorf e.V. do not have a legal obligation to retain the data.
